Collaborating with Madras Art Weekend (MAW) is always a true pleasure, and the recent watercolor workshop was no exception. The session brought together an enthusiastic group of participants and some excellent artists, making it a truly engaging and inspiring experience. For the workshop, we chose to sketch and paint a scene from Gdańsk, using a photograph I had taken during my visit last year for the Step by Step International Watercolor Festival.
Gdańsk is such a beautiful Polish city, where almost every street and corner feels like it’s waiting to be painted. I was especially happy that participants had the chance to work on a street view that I personally felt was perfect for learning a few important points about perspective and lighting. Watching them interpret the scene with their own creativity and energy made the session both rewarding and memorable.
