It is always a pleasure to conduct a watercolour workshop in a studio attached to an art store – especially one that is probably the largest in South India. This was my first watercolour urban sketching workshop at the Hindustan Trading Company (HTC) studio in Chennai. Despite it being a long weekend, I was delighted to gather such a wonderful group of participants.
For the session, we decided to sketch a charming street scene from Bologna, instead of the Venetian canal with boats that I had originally suggested. It turned out to be a fantastic experience, with truly enthusiastic participants – some of whom were attending their second or even third workshop with me.
